KAS was born 1974 in Lithuania, a small country that lies by the Baltic Sea. His childhood surroundings of scenic mountain sides and many lakes heavily influenced his love for drawing nature and animals. After high school he attended the Lithuanian University of Visual Arts where he studied fine art and majored in sculpting. During his college years he developed an interest in the tattoo arts which, at the time had very little popularity in Lithuania. After graduating college, KAS worked as an independent artist drawing editorial cartoons for newspapers and carving wood statues to be sold in gift shops. KAS made the move to America in 1995 where he became overwhelmed by the NYC art scene and begin working in a West Village tattoo shop. After many years of mastering his tattoo craft he moved his skills to TATTOOSEEN where he now works as a full time tattoo artist.
